The Council is made up of likeminded men who are committed to the doctrines of grace and believe that the confessions of the Reformation era can guide us today to a reawakening that will establish the Christian church as a "city set on a hill that cannot be hidden" (Mt 5:14.)
Such a vision, though great and encompassing, is paramount today if we are to stop the 'soft peddling' of the Gospel that comes from man-centered worship.
Although there appears to be much to discourage us today about the present state of evangelicalism in general and certain churches in particular, there is much about which we can be greatly encouraged. Christ will build His church "and the gates of hell will never overcome it," (Mt 16:18 my translation). So, pray for this endeavor and that God will be glorified, for there is room for much joy in what God is doing.
